Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has once again got people talking after taking delivery of a customised Bugatti Chiron VXX reportedly worth about ₦9 billion.

The singer, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, was present as the exotic car was unveiled in Lagos in a ceremony captured on video and shared by Dubai-based luxury car customisation company, Venuum, on Saturday.
In the video, two presenters were seen pulling off a black protective cover to reveal the customised Bugatti, with Burna Boy standing nearby as his latest acquisition was unveiled.
And honestly, this is not the type of car you casually see driving around.
The Bugatti Chiron VXX was specially customised as a one-of-one project, giving it a very different look from the standard Chiron.
The front section comes in a striking French Racing Blue finish, while the famous Bugatti horseshoe grille carries a bold yellow number 7. The car also features a centre racing stripe designed in the French tricolour colours.
The interior was not left out either. The customised cabin features blue sport seats with yellow contrast stitching, alongside a gold-threaded grid design that gives the car an even more distinctive appearance.
Venuum, the company behind the customisation, celebrated the delivery with a message to Burna Boy.
The company said it was proud to see the singer receive his one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX, describing it as a machine created to stand apart and have its own identity.
“From Dubai to Lagos. A unique creation for a unique artist. Welcome to the VXX experience,” Venuum said.
Interestingly, this particular Bugatti did not just appear out of nowhere.
Back in May, Venuum had announced plans to create a bespoke carbon-fibre widebody kit for Burna Boy’s Bugatti Chiron. The company described the project as the world’s first widebody Bugatti Chiron and said it was being built as a one-of-one project for the Nigerian superstar.
Burna Boy himself had previously teased his interest in getting a special Bugatti, saying he wanted a “Bugatti Venuum Chiron, something one of one.”
Well, the one-of-one has now arrived.
The reported ₦9 billion valuation has been cited by Abuja Car, the dealership involved in the vehicle’s sale. However, the exact amount Burna Boy actually paid for the car has not been independently confirmed, so the ₦9 billion figure should be treated as the reported valuation rather than a confirmed purchase price.
For context, Bugatti’s official listing for the standard 2020 Chiron puts its basic price at about US$2.998 million, which was roughly ₦3.99 billion based on the figure cited in the report. With the extensive VXX customisation and one-of-one modifications, the customised version sits in a completely different price territory.
The new Bugatti also joins an already serious collection of exotic cars reportedly owned by Burna Boy, including a Lamborghini Revuelto and a Rolls-Royce Spectre.
At this point, Burna Boy’s garage is beginning to look like a luxury car showroom.
From Dubai to Lagos, the Odogwu has added another monster to the collection — and this time, it is a Bugatti that was specially built to be different from every other one.
₦9 billion for a motor? Burna Boy really said ordinary cars are not for him.
