Bella took to X on Saturday, September 12, to mark the third anniversary of Mohbad’s death.

In a short but powerful post, the singer wrote, “Woe to Evil doers. Keep resting Imole!”

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.

His sudden death sent shockwaves across Nigeria and quickly became one of the biggest stories to hit the country’s entertainment industry. The circumstances surrounding his death sparked widespread outrage, protests and demands from Nigerians for answers.

Three years later, the late singer is still heavily remembered by fans, friends and fellow artistes.

For Bella Shmurda, the loss appears to be particularly personal. The two were close friends and had worked together on several musical projects before Mohbad’s death.

Bella has also kept Mohbad’s memory alive through his music. He released “My Brother” as a tribute to the late singer and dedicated his R2 Sept 12 project to him.

Mohbad may have been gone for three years, but his name and music continue to live on, especially among those who knew him closely.

And from Bella’s latest message, it is clear that the pain of losing Imole is still there.
